Hey guys,
I'm going to throw out an idea to tidy up the draft quicker.
There are 6 rounds left, I propose everyone send my a list of their next 6 picks and ill run it through. There is not much out there at this point and teams are basically filling in their pro and farm rosters. I'll go as far as I can with valid picks and maybe we'll try again to finish it. Hopefully we can hammer out 3-4 rounds this way quickly. Optimally it would be 6 rounds, but people's lists may match.
Your list can be as detailed as you want, to suit what your team needs. See examples below.
24 - Crosby
25 - Malkin
26 - Ovechkin
27 - Lundqvist
28 - Stamkos
29 - Giroux
Or more detailed:
24 - Malkin, Crosby, Ovechkin
25 - Weber, Chara, E.Karlsson, Doughty
26 - Lundqvist, Quick, Rinne
27 - Huberdeau, Yakupov, Strome, Nyqvist
28 - Crosby, Ovechkin, Stamkos, Giroux
29 - Chara, E.Karlsson, Ovechkin
You can make you list as you like, but the more detail the better I would say.
Let me know what people think on this, and if you're in favour send me your list along so we can hammer this out and get started for this Monday.

Hey guys,
With the slowed pace I don't know if me are going to be ready to start for this coming Monday. It is looking more like Monday, Feb. 4th, week 3.
I've tried my best to keep things going, but with the tight timeline and the slow past few days, it's a stretch to have things under way for this Monday.
Once we complete the draft, we are on pace for Friday, teams have to submit pro and farm rosters, and I have submit all the teams into yahoo. This pushes into Saturday at least. We need one day for waivers, and need to set rosters by Sunday.
Looks like we're at least one day behind. Not a big deal though.
**ALSO make sure you read my last email (below) well. It is important for the end of the draft and setting your pro and farm teams.

Hey guys,
We had a good push late last week and over the weekend. Lets buckle down and tidy this thing up. Only 9 rounds to go.
I want to quickly go over farm players and rosters quickly as I'm getting a lot of questions on them.
The draft is 29 rounds, 24 for your pro team and 5 for your farm team (which can be drafted at anytime). After the draft is complete teams must immediately submit their 24 man pro roster and 5 man farm roster on the league site under their team board. This is important for me getting the pro teams into yahoo and identifying everyone's farm teams.
A farm players is any NHL player, who has been drafted into the NHL and has played under 100 NHL regular season games (goalies - 50). They do not have to be minor league players, Ryan Nugent Hopkins could be a farm player. Once a skater plays his 100th regular season game he must be added to your pro team or be cut. It is 50 games for goalies as mentioned above.
If you promote a player from your farm team to your pro team he can't be returned to your farm team. The only way to add players to your farm team is by drafting or trading. If you trade for player who is on a pro team, and has played under 100 games, he cannot be returned to your farm team. However, if a player is not kept from someone's pro team at the end of the year, he can be drafted the following year as a farm player. That last bit may sound confusing now, but it will make sense down the road.
I hope that clears things up for you people who haven't read the rules well
.
Cheers,
Dusty
