So with the farm team picks now, as long as they have played under 100 games in the NHL, that would be consdiered a farm player? Or would they have to be playing in the minors currently to be eligible? For example a player that played half the season last year and is on the NHL roster this year, would that be considered a farm pick since its under 100 games?

Any skater under 100 regular season games is considered eligible to be a farm player. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is still farm eligible. For goalies it's only 50 games. You can have a "farm" player on your pro team at anytime if you call him up, but remember once a player is on a pro team he can't be returned to your farm team.

I see ok, so when we draft we just have to make mention to put him on the Farm Team

After the draft teams have to assign their 5 farm players to their farm team. You can draft 10 guys that have played less than 100 games, but only 5 can be placed on your farm team. The other 5 will be on your 24 man pro roster

What if the player was moved from the Farm to the Pro Roster, and is then traded/or dropped? Can the team aquiring the player place them on their farm? Or because the other owner turned him "pro" he can only be on your pro roster?

The only way to add a player to your farm team is through the draft, or making a trade for a player on another teams farm team.
If a player is a pro team one year, then not kept, they can be drafted the following year as farm players if eligible.
Basically if you add a farm player to your pro roster he can't be returned, expect for the note above. From experience, most teams keep their farm players on the farm as long as possible.

to add to this question... say granlund meets the 100 GP mid-season and i don't call him up before seasons end. can he remain on the farm thru the off-season but must automatically be called up for october the following season ?
i.e in this case can i stash granlund on the farm past this season and call him up in october in time for the first game ? i know in a couple of my leagues their farm system works like that with a little loop hole, not sure if that flys here or not tho.
